Your Data Rights

Last updated: 31 August 2026

You can use this page to exercise your data-protection rights or make a privacy complaint.

Who should I contact?

If you are using ADVCY for an event, community, artist or brand, that organisation will often be the controller of your information. You can contact that organisation directly.

You can also contact ADVCY. If we process the information for one of our clients, we will route the request appropriately and assist the controller where required.

What can I ask for?

Depending on the circumstances, you may be able to ask us to:

  • confirm whether personal information about you is being processed;
  • provide a copy of your personal information;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete information;
  • restrict particular processing;
  • provide certain information in a portable format;
  • stop processing based on particular legitimate interests;
  • stop direct marketing;
  • record withdrawal of consent; or
  • review certain automated decisions.

Some rights depend on the circumstances and lawful basis.

Direct marketing

You can object to direct marketing at any time. Once you object, your personal information must no longer be used for that direct-marketing purpose.

We or the relevant controller may keep a small suppression record so that your opt-out continues to be respected.

Removing a wallet pass

Removing a Pass from Apple Wallet or Google Wallet is different from making a data-deletion request. Removing the Pass may stop Wallet updates. It does not necessarily erase information lawfully held elsewhere.

If you want the underlying personal information deleted, make a deletion request as described below.

How to make a request

Email community@advcy.ai.

Where possible include:

  • your name;
  • the event or service you used;
  • the email address or telephone number you used;
  • the Wallet Pass or account concerned, if known; and
  • what you want us to do.

You do not need to use legal terminology.

If you use an ADVCY concierge on WhatsApp, you can also use the in-chat shortcuts described on our Data Deletion page.

Identity checks

We may need to verify that you are the person the information relates to. We will only request information that is reasonable and proportionate for that purpose.

Response times

Where ADVCY is responsible for the response, we will respond without undue delay and normally within one month. Applicable law allows extensions in some cases, including complex or multiple requests. Where permitted, we may ask for reasonable clarification about the information requested.

Privacy complaints

You can complain if you believe ADVCY has handled personal information incorrectly.

Email community@advcy.ai. Where possible use the subject: Privacy Complaint.

We will:

  • acknowledge a data-protection complaint within 30 days;
  • make appropriate enquiries;
  • keep you informed where necessary; and
  • tell you the outcome without undue delay.

You can also complain directly to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. You do not need our permission to do so.
